Spotlight on John Kaiser at Spancrete in Waukesha, WI
Since they started working with AXIM six years ago, Spancrete has spent less time detailing finished products. According to John Kaiser, that's because with AXIM's technology and support, they have produced more defect-free surfaces. AXIM's L-6 viscosity modifier has allowed Kaiser and his team at Spancrete to take architectural pre-cast to the next level.
Another product John likes is Superflux 2000 PC, a new generation superplasticizer exhibiting high early strength and ultimate strength that works well with self-consolidating concrete.
But it's not just the AXIM products that keep Spancrete coming back. Working closely with technical support at AXIM, Spancrete has developed its own set of production practices. The biggest reason Kaiser states for using AXIM is this high level of technical support and the technical advances they're achieving with admixtures. Additionally, he offers that since AXIM developed its own self-consolidating concrete web page (SCC Zone) for mix designs, his QC manager has used it weekly for samples and mix design feedback.

"Going all the way back to 2000, it wasn't just the local (AXIM) rep knocking on the door. It was the whole team. They were looking to form a partnership... I can call Martin in the lab and get the answers I need any time." — John Kaiser, Spancrete
