Modern Concrete 

As Modern planned the construction of their state of the art production plant located in Easton, PA for precast concrete and concrete pipe they knew they needed to carefully evaluate who their concrete admixture technology supplier would be. The evaluation process, led by Phil Weber, Operations Manager for Modern focused on mix optimization for SCC, volume stability and developing a dispenser solution for their state of the art mixer.

"When we finished the comprehensive evaluation of admixture technologies available on the market, we knew there was no other admixture company to choose", said Phil Weber. "Axim delivered on performance by solving our volume stability issues and customized a dispensing solution for our new plant.

Modern's plant has become somewhat of a destination place. A few concrete producers considering this production technology have been invited to see Modern's plant in action. The visiting producers commonly ask, "How do you produce SCC like that?!" Phil responds, "Its Axim. Their admixtures and mix design technology are the only way."

Modern also benefits from <<AXSIS>>, a simple concept of a single source for cement, admixtures and concrete technology delivered by a highly skilled team. Phil Weber wanted "all of his resources local and centralized". Led by Essroc's Territory Manager Dan Schaffer and AXIM's Regional Technology Manager, Rob Kruck, Modern is awarded an integrated resource delivering concrete results.
