AXIM continues its leadership in innovation with new product launch

Middlebranch, Ohio — Axim Italcementi Group continues it long-standing innovation leadership position in the concrete technology field with its recent launch of eight new products. 

CATEXOL HYDROSENSE™
CATEXOL HYDROSENSE is a next generation multi-range water reducer based on proprietary polycarboxylate technology. Depending on the dosage rate, it is designed to provide normal- to medium-range water reduction, while providing excellent flowability during placement without affecting initial setting time. CATEXOL HYDROSENSE is designed to reduce the set time of mixes containing slag and/or fly ash allowing for the design of cost efficient mixes for horizontal and vertical applications.  CATEXOL HYDROSENSE is recommended for use in all types of concrete including plain, reinforced and flowable concrete. CATEXOL HYDROSENSE is very effective in concrete containing pozzolanic materials such as fly ash, silica fume and slag.

CATEXOL™ Collaxim L7
CATEXOL Collaxim L7 is formulated to modify and enhance the thixotropic properties of cement-based materials, resulting in greater stability. It is particularly recommended for use with AXIM's Self-Consolidating Concrete Technology, where high volumes of coarse aggregate and/or high water/cementitious ratios are required. Cement-based materials incorporating CATEXOL Collaxim L7 exhibit stable plastic properties, yielding a wide range of applications to the concrete producer.

CATEXOL™ TRIM-AIR
CATEXOL TRIM-AIR is a stable admixture formulation that helps to achieve a controllable level of entrained air in a concrete mix. At higher dosages, CATEXOL TRIM-AIR can provide total elimination of entrained air. It decreases foaming and minimizes air entrainment in cement slurries, grouts, concrete and mortars. It can also be used to counteract the air entrainment caused by some cements and superplasticizers.

INTRAPEL XLT
INTRAPEL XLT is a specially formulated water repellent admixture that greatly reduces capillary absorption in poured concrete. INTRAPEL XLT forms an internal barrier against water diffusion in mixes used for ready mixed or precast concrete. INTRAPEL XLT has strong water-repelling properties that seal the capillary pores, minimizing the penetration of water into concrete.

AXIM-SEAL Plus+
AXIM-SEAL Plus+ is a new generation of penetrating compound for cured concrete. AXIMSEAL Plus+ is a water-based fluoropolymer and provides superior long-term protection over solvent-based products. AXIM-SEAL Plus+ quickly forms a clear film that provides a water and stain repellent, dust-proof, and non-yellowing surface. It is fast drying and provides an easy application. AXIM-SEAL Plus+ defends against the elements and brings out the lustrous beauty of pigmented and stamped concrete. AXIM-SEAL Plus+ performs well as an impregnating agent for the treatment of masonry building materials such as mortar and bricks. AXIMSEAL Plus+ can also be used as a water and stain repellency agent.

CATEXOL™ Cure & Seal HG
CATEXOL Cure & Seal HG dries to a clear high gloss finish. It is milky-white, water-based emulsion, nonyellowing, curing, sealing, hardening, dust proofing, and water repellent compound. The product provides the greatest protection to UV exposure and is designed for use on exterior above-grade architectural concrete where a premium, long-lasting, vibrant gloss and shine is required. Independent laboratory testing confirms that the product's non-yellowing characteristics outlast and outperforms competitive products and equals the performance of pure acrylic systems. CATEXOL Cure & Seal HG features breathable technology which allows moisture vapor to pass through rather than becoming trapped, preventing whitening, pealing and flaking. High gloss clear protection for exterior applications on new and existing concrete floors, stamped and decorative concrete, stucco or brick walls, architectural sections, retarded concrete and vertical walls.

CATEXOL™ Cure & Seal Plus+
CATEXOL Cure & Seal Plus+ is a water-based, solvent-free, alkylated alkoxy siloxane emulsion, penetrating sealer that provides excellent performance as a cure and seal agent for concrete. It provides long-term protection. CATEXOL Cure & Seal Plus+ quickly forms a clear film that provides a water repellent, dust-proof, and non-yellowing surface. It is fast drying and provides an easy application. CATEXOL Cure & Seal Plus+ performs well as an impregnating agent for the treatment of masonry building materials such as mortar and bricks. CATEXOL Cure & Seal Plus+ can also be used as an water repellency agent.

CATEXOL™ Surface-Set
CATEXOL Surface-Set is a solution of concrete retarding chemicals and conditioners. Applied to fresh concrete, it inhibits the setting of the very top surface layer of concrete while the remainder of the concrete cures normally. After the concrete sets, the top mortar level is removed with high-pressure water to reveal beautifully textured, exposed aggregate surfaces. Used on the upper surface of horizontal cast-in-place concrete, CATEXOL Surface-Set adds a decorative, rough textured, non-slip surface to patios, sidewalks, ramps, pool aprons and steps. When used on precast or tilt-up, CATEXOL Surface-Set brings rugged, natural elegance to panels, walls or other architectural pieces.
