At Axim, we emphasize quality in all areas of our business. We strive to be the best at what we do, and our team has embraced personal excellence and commitment in serving our customers day-in and day-out.
Axim's U.S. Technology Center in Middlebranch, Ohio, plays a critical role in product development and technical service.
Since 1994, Italcementi Group's CTG has brought together the knowledge and specialized skills of the previously separated technical centers of Italcementi and Ciments Francais, improving the quality of services rendered to both the Group's companies and third parties all over the world. Its primary activities are: product and technology research and development through a R&D Division, supported by a Scientific Committee.
This activity is focused particularly on special cements, admixtures for concrete and other advanced construction materials; design and production of industrial facilities and equipment; technical assistance and control of plant performance in the different countries where Italcementi Group operates. The Middlebranch Technology Center operates in tandem with CTG transferring the research developed in Europe to industrial application in North America.
Integral to our process of innovation, Axim's laboratories play an important role in the research and development of chemical and cementitious materials and related applications. We have a multidisciplinary team of chemists, physicists, geologists and engineers who play a significant part developing industry leading materials to fulfill our customers' ambitious design goals.
Axim's laboratories are capable of performing the plastic or hardened concrete tests required by today's construction environment. In addition, we have the ability to analyze all elements associated with raw materials as well as the finished product, including:
- Compression Testing
- Petrographic Analysis Hunter Colorimeter
- Advanced Curing Systems
- X-ray Diffractometer
- Ultra Violet Spectrophotometer
- X-ray Fluorescence Unit
- Particle Size Distribution Analyzer for determining optimums and analyzing pozzolanic materials
- Temperature Control Environments to Simulate Field Conditions for recreating jobsite conditions to study set times and troubleshoot problems.
- Viscosimeter
